Born out of Cork City, Ireland, Stephen Healy otherwise known as 'Bongo Steve' , is a fixture of Irelands forever changing nightlife scene and becoming a well known name amoungst the Irish electronic music scene. Steve has taken the Irish Electronic Dance scene by storm since he begun to fuse his Orchestral Percussion talents with his renowned DJ sets. Since the beginning of 2019, Steve has begun work on his new full live show which will move the DJ sets aside, bringing in live Electronic Marimba allowing him to perform the melodic sections of songs with drum sticks and of course, using his percussion talents to provide electric beats and baselines, all running into a master loop station.
2019 is going to be a huge year for the young artist, as Steve is set to release original music with his new live show!
His love for beats, forms the basis in which his unique live shows are created with a range of genres. Steve is very unique in his genre selection, once it works with the percussion, it works for Steve. His genre being all types of Electronic Music (House, Commercial, tech house and tropical house). Basically anything with a good beat to get a crowd moving.
Steve has performed at sold out shows warming up and also taking over the big stages for international Artists such as; Niall Horan, Gavin James, Mk, Tchami, Route 94, DJ Fresh, Tough Love, Sigala, Basshunter, David Zowie, Matoma, Jax Jones, Futuristic Polar Bears, John Gibbons, Hudson Taylor, Endor , Klingande, Mari Ferrari, Hermitage Green and many more.
On the festival scene, Steve has performed at one of Europe's biggest dance festivals, the Beachville Stage at Ultra Europe, Croatia and Ireland's biggest music festival, Electric Picnic in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Each year performing 3 shows everyday opening the Logic Arena.
Last year Steve took to the stage at the Galway Races 2018 in the Rockshore Arena and is booked to perform again at the Festival this year. He has also performed, Spring Break-Croatia in 2015 and Indiependence Music and Arts festival 2015, Ireland. In 2018, Steve also had the pleasure of performing a sell out show at Co. Kerrys fastest growing music festival K-Fest Music and Arts Festival. In 2017, Steve performed to more then 50,000 on the streets of Dublin, on an open top bus representing Google Ireland for the Google pride parade.
Steve is delighted to be asked to perform upcoming international festivals and events in Amsterdam and Scotland in 2019. Details of events will be announced in the coming weeks on Steve’s social media.

Weekly Steve travels the country, performing in Top Irish venues. He has held shows and performed in venues such as I.N.E.C Killarney, The Wright Venue Dublin, Voodoo Rooms Cork, Savoy Cork, Havana Browns Cork, Karma Galway, D.N.A. Galway, Electric Garden / Club 44 Galway, O’Connells Bar Galway, Deep South Cork, Sober Lane Cork, The Imperial Bar Cavan, The Palace Navan and Tullamore, The Killarney Grand and The Foundry Carlow to name a few. He has recently held Ticketed shows solely for Steves performance selling out a show in West Cork, Skibbereen and a student show in U.L. (Limerick). This is leading Steve on a whole new journey beginning to lease night-clubs and promote his own concerts. He is regularly booked for massive Universities and student events all over Ireland. To name a few, Steve has performed for DCU, U.C.D, U.C.C, U.L, I.T. Tralee, I.T.Carlow, NUIG, WIT, CIT and many more.
